3. GLEANERS consume 20-30% less fuel than Case and Deere for 2 reasons. A. more efficient harvest due to direct drive belts and simplified unloading system that requires less horsepower than combines with longitudinal rotors. B. 8000-10,000 less weight than Case and Deere ; which means less DEAD WEIGHT pulling thru the field that consumes much fuel and horsepower.

25% less fuel? I'd like to see that in the real world. If it could be proven, I would be very interested in one. I have some serious doubts about that claim.


I have no printouts to show you, but I bought a header on an online auction from a guy in eastern KS, and he went from a 9770 JD to a S77 Gleaner and claimed equal acres per hour figures, but the JD ran 18-20 gallons per hour, and the Gleaner ran 12-14 gallons per hour. His word, but two guys who dont know each other and probably wont see each other again talking machinery at a farmstead probably wont be exaggerating.
