Just grain? Or heavy material.
Regular doors? Or the bigger 54" traps.
Our trailers, even when new (they're 2017's), wouldn't open on the high side with lime, let alone hauling gravel as a payload.
I really think that having heavy, rough material on top of the trap (he has the 54") is going to crank hard no matter what modifications/repairs are done. Corn or beans, yes, relatively easy on the high side.
