North Central Kansas | Don't need the shim. Starter is shorter by about 1/2", which is what the shim is. Unfortunately the starter drive must be bad because it won't kick it out. Spins fine just doesn't work. Guess I'll take the one that came off the truck in on Monday and get it rebuilt. Easier to go back in with the right one. Bolted the one I got back in so if I needed the truck I could at least pull it to start and everything would be operational. I sure wish the nose tilted up on this thing. The next time I'm going to have somebody help hold it. I didn't weight it but it is heavy. | |
