Faunsdale, AL | You need to put a set of gauges on it to diagnose the problem. Even one of the disposable cans with a gauge and short filler hose would be better than nothing.
Turn it on and let it run a little while with the compressor engaged and then feel the lines leading to and away from the compressor. Suction (larger diameter) should be cooler than discharge (smaller diameter) which should get too hot to touch for more than a second. Some compressors can seem to engage magnetic clutch but still not be turning the compressor shaft. | |
