SouthCentral WI | Have had both the 980 and the 200. The 980 is a little lighter machine with lighter shank springs. It does an excellent job and and takes a lot of trash to plug. The Tiger is a heaver machine and the shanks don't give as much (heaver action), so in bean stubble it tends to do a more uniform depth than the 980. You can get stuck easier with the tigermate because it is a heaver machine. (comparable widths). The tiger might plug just a little sooner only because the shanks don't vibrate as much, but it still will go through almost as much as the 980. The tiger will also pull a little harder for the same reason.
They are both good machines.
