They're $320 list. I don't know where you're getting them for $350, but I'd go elsewhere.

The local dealership sent off a bunch of clutches for rebuild, and sold them for around half price of new clutches, but all they accomplished was pissing a bunch of customers off as the rebuilt units had a high failure rate. I don't know where they had them rebuilt at.

I've rebuilt about a dozen or so, but for the effort that goes into them and the cost of rebuild parts, it's just not worth it. At only $320 a piece, these things are the biggest bargain in the history of planter section control.


While you've got your clutch apart, take a good look at the wrap spring connecting the two steel hubs. If you see any visual nonuniformity at all in it, especially near the center, it probably needs to be replaced. This part has to be perfect, or the clutch will slip.
