I would think you would be fine. I plant 3s and 4s with the small sweet corn discs. The promax 40 holes are just a tiny bit bigger. I would give it a try. I do run my double eliminators about as far as they go for 3s and 4s with the small sweet corn disc so you will probably have to do the same for 2s on the promax 40
