Western Iowa | I bought a low boy out of Michigan once. I didn't have any luck getting anyone to pull it home.
I had the guy load it on a step deck and I just unloaded it on my end with a big excavator. Picked the whole thing off no problem. Took a couple days to find a truck where I had been looking for a month or better for someone to pull it.
I have also had a grain trailer I bought out of state hauled in on a step. Just backed it onto the step deck and unhooked. Got to my end and had him back up to my dock and I hooked onto it with a truck and pulled it off.
