| How does this per pair/month work? You mean to tell me if you rented a pasture at 65 perpair per month itwould be 65 for every cow/calf per month? What about months without a calf? So if you calved the calf there and sold it at 6 months you would have 390$ in rent on that calf that is worth maybe $850? Seems like low margins? Am i missing somthing? Is this a field planted with a crop or just a pasture? What is the average acre per cow there?
Down here in texas on just native/bermuda pasture i pay 20$ acre a year and run a cow to every 5 acres. That comes out to 100$ a year per calf. | |
