Because Windows 10, 64 bit won't run my old database program I thought I might learn enough of Base from LibreOffice to do what I want and need.  I cannot find a way to sum a field.  I thought using SQL might work but haven't figured out if the SUM in SQL works in BASE and how to implement it.
For example, say I want to know how much I spent at the lumber yard in 20017.  I can find all the records that would match 2017 and Menards but I want to sum them without going to another program or manually adding them.  In particular when there are a lot of some records.

Maybe I missed it on the Internet or the help file.
