Why didn't CAT install factory mounted fuel hand priming pumps? To lower the cost of the engines to PACCAR truck manufacturer. I heard PACCAR asked CAT to remove everything they could for a lower wholesale engine price, basically, now the customer has to pay list price for this item, UNLESS the customer was informed to order it on his truck engine at the time of sale/ordering from the OEM truck dealer. I feel CAT was trying to make their wholesale customers happy, but it didn't help us out much as the people who work on their product or drive them.
