Sorry 2390 don't mean to call your bluff here but anyone that says they have 103% either does not calf very many cows or they are lieing about there percentage.

I believe him. What's very many cows?

I calved out 98 with 20 of them heifers. Lost one calf because the stupid cow killed it on purpose. (She's no longer here) got 4 sets of twins. I'm over 100%. I gave away 2 calves to neighbors so they could graph calves on cows that lost calves. The other 2 sets of twins cow took both calves. Started Jan 15th with 60 day calving window.

I have a good friend that has calved over 500 hd and lost one calf with multiple sets of twins. He checks every 2 hrs. He sleeps from 2am to 6am and his wife checks them for him at 4am.

With the right management, facilities and good cows it can happen.
