If you take 65, you can take the Avenue to Floyd, then 218 north to 9. Nice wide shoulders on all those roads.
Only "bad" would be going through Floyd on 218. Kinda narrow there.

Other (maybe better) option would be turning off the Avenue at Rudd (County T26). Take that north to 9. Not much for shoulders on that road, but traffic would definitely be less, and you have a lot of forward visibility to see oncoming traffic, and plenty of road intersections to get over if you need to.

I run both roads a lot in a truck. Personally, I'd take the Rudd route.
