I've used both. The intuicom is made for ag/heavy applications - I would say it is the more serious heavy duty product. I think it meets some specs that the GX450 does not. But the GX450 is just fine. The GX450 hardware can be bought for $500-$600 new if you just do a search for "Sierra Wireless GX450" in google, not sure if they would work though or if they require more configuration from Trimble.
