so the electric steer is basically the exact same thing as an agleader ontrac (3 I believe). I have seen ontracs act this way many times, typically 99% of the time it is due to the baud rate set wrong. I would see if the guy that replied above would share his settings with you. these devices take the nmea strings for position. I would put my money on a simple setting wrong. it is unbelievable how well they will react when setting are right from when they are not.

I wish I could help you more but I haven't been around the electristeer very much, all my experience is based on using all the different models of ontracs over the years. youll hate it until it is set correctly then its pretty easy to like and maybe even love.
