Updated my 4450 starting system incrementally to see how much improvement each one made. Started with new 6 volt batteries in series and new stock starter for baseline.
Updated to 12 volt batteries in parallel and 4455 cables. Saw around 25rpm cranking speed increase. Definitely helped but thought could still be marginal on cold days.
Next, updated to gear reduction starter and saw about another 40rpm cranking speed increase.
My only regret with the current setup is that I didn't update it 20 years ago when I got the tractor.
