We started out with an ez guide 500 and later upgraded to fm750, I would say its a good system to get started with. They can usually be found in the classifieds on this site along with an ezsteer system. Or for not much more money, you could go with an FM750 with ezsteer, it is a bit dated but still a current product from trimble.
