There would be a whole lot of unhappy folks if something were to happen to the Arizona London Bridge.

McCullough and his cronies did pretty well planning and executing the LHC community but didn't foresee what is happening on his man made island. The bridge is the only way on and off the island and that little glitch was exposed as potentially fatal, a couple years ago when a runaway pickup damaged and temporarily closed the bridge to traffic.

Before the housung crash in '08, plans were made and beginnings of land acquisition for a new bridge was underway. The crash put that project on hold, but since then, new housing development on the island has continued and more and more people use and depend on the old bridge. Closure of the bridge during an emergency that required multiple emergency vehicles could have potentially serious consequences.
