It was an 8 Dow Deere. I did the first several rows laying underneath the planter by myself. For the last 3 rows, Dad held a sledge against the river and I swung the hammer. My arm was dead. It worked better with the heavier backup hammer.
I used a 3 lb hammer. The hardest spot was around the wheels.
