No, string breakage was not a problem when hitting bales from the end. For various reasons, tractor tires or weak angle iron on the grabber arm you can't hit them at really any angle.
As for the 30-60 tons per hour, it mostly depends on where you are stacking. If you have small stacks all over the field you can stack more but if you bring them to one central location it takes time. Unloading seems the slowest as you need to do it in two dumps.
They claim one stacker will keep up to several balers but in good going we found it took one stacker for each baler if they were to work the same number of hours. Dan...
