| Yes, I ran into this when trying to network by brother's new Vista laptop with his old XP desktop. Talk about a friggin' nightmare! Only Microsoft could get away with introducing a new OS that wouldn't talk with an older version. Talked to several other people who are a lot more computer-savvy than I am and said that two Vista computers are easy to network, but they always have trouble with Vista-XP. Brother has more money than brains so he went and bought a new Vista desktop and hired the Geek Squad to set it all up for him. Now he admits he has TWO computers that he hates and is looking to switch to Mac - which tells me that he is getting smart. | |
