Subject: Calmer Rolls--Are they worth it?

EC WI
I have a great 6 row Hugger head all poly I will never part with in need of new flutes this year and looking at options at the farm show last week, Calmer has a complete roll kit for a 6 row Hugger for $7500 on special! I think that is nuts.
With the hard facing plates built up every year, the roll life is 1000A/row?
Would last the rest of this heads life for 250A/corn/yr.
Right now we run a Loftness and chop all stalks anyway, that is how they come up with the astronomical cost of these to remove that extra pass at $11/A. It would take 3 years for them to pay. I would be selling my 20' Loftness just to buy a set of rolls!

Convince me they are worth it, I totally understand how much time I could save but I need some farmer facts here, not just what I was told Wednesday.
