I am very close to buying a new computer. One I am typing on is a 2001 model... so lots of difference.
What would you buy for a machine for processors, ram, HD, optical, sound, video, etc. What type/size monitor. What products and features would you avoid?
I don't need a Cadillac but want some room for growth and plenty of horsepower. We now have 3 meg downloads from our ISP via cat 5 from our fiber optic service.
Our main uses: (no particular order)
1- SMS, EasiSuite precison ag stuff
2- Quicken
3- Spreadsheets
4- Word processing
5- Have been using outlook (any others??) Email, contacts, calendar
6- Photos (storage, download from camera) internal card reader???
7- Internet (obviously) some downloadable movie clips, etc.
8- no gaming
9- possible television and dual monitors?
10- music with iTunes and our own library
What say you? Please rank what's most important to you from a features perspective
