Make sure to dab some silicone in the corners where the pan meets the block and bellhousing. I prefer the blue stuff for this, but I cant give you a scientific reason why its better. Also when you put the pan up you use a little silicone above the new pan gasket where the front cover and rear seal housing are to prevent leaks. Remember a little bit of silicone RTV goes a long way. When installing these gaskets I prefer to use a liberal coating of black moly grease where I dont use the silicone because it helps to stick the gasket in place and if the need arises to take it back apart the gasket can be reused 95% of the time.
