Subject: RE: drip tape vs pivot

Turkey
I have 2 pivots each 60 acres , subsurface drip irrigation 70 acres, surface drip irrigation 35 acres

If your field shape fits go with center pivot first 1-2 years u can face problems stuck tires, understand to soil and plant respond. For germination perfect

Subsurface better yield compare to pivot but rodent problem and germination not easy u need to fill with water each zone. Mine drip row distance is 40 inches because wheat is in my rotation. And also herbices cost for protect drippers from crop root

Surface drip is another pain in the ass not fit for wheat for row crops u need to lay down and collect every season. U need machinea for lay down and collect.
