southern MN | Typically they are on a fairly high concrete ring, wouldn't hurt that with a car.
Not too long after the 500-600,000 bu bin was built by the coop next to me, a worker noticed some bolt gpheads on the ground. Looked around, and a seam was popping bolts.
They got everyone away, and closed the highway I think, and set the augers and legs to flow the corn tot he farthest bin on the property, and ran semis to move it out. They were quite nervous about it until they got it 75% empty or so, then the pressures were a lot less and could get it emptied out a little more normal.
It was poor bolts. Bin is filled several times a year, we circle it to unload.
