Cat HEUI engines are notoriously hard to start in cold temps from my experience. I have gotten rid of all mine except in my fertilizer spreader and it’s a pita if it’s even below 30-40 degrees.
I think we must have a leaky injector that makes it hard to build enough pressure in these situations.
