We have a 1020 22 1/2 ft head, we just bought with 3 inch cut. Our old 1020 was inch and 1/2 cut. couldn't ever get it to cut very good and someone said replace gaurds, well those gaurds are very pricey. If I were you, I'd buy a 1020 with 3 inch cut, IMO they do a better job. Can't tell you much on 900 series heads. Good luck.
