| My operation consists of wheat, milo, soybeans. We usually double crop behind the wheat with milo or beans. As for soybeans as soon as they are off in the fall we double crop wheat back into it. HRW wheat that is. We use a JD air drill which with the single disk does a good job of cutting whatever is in its way. We also run an STS and recently put a redekop on it. It does a good job of chopping especially when it is dry it will really throw it. This was our first year with it so we are still tweaking it, I just got to thinking with a spreader I can adjust the width from the cab and o not have to maintain knives and hammers. I just did not know how much the STS chops it up having not run one without a chopper before. We run a 36ft head and sometimes with the wind or green crop it is hard to get it spred that far. TIA
