Years ago, I say years ago, there was a small eating place at the corner of Hickman and Merle Hay road in Des Moines.
It was called the Onion Ring. They had the best grinders ( mild, warm or hot) you could ever want. They also had thin sliced onion rings dipped in batter and deep fat fried. A grinder, some onion rings, a tall cold beverage and your taste buds were in for a treat of their lifetime !! | |
