Had one mechanic tell me to never build anything "deeper" than 24" (for shelves), because you tend to just shove too much stuff to the back, and never see it again.

There been some Top Shop videos, where guys put everything into plastic tub(with lids) and wrote on outside of each tub, what machine/model those parts were for. Tubs were stored on pallet rack shelves.
