Subject: Quote for the day. Let me try this again.

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!

The explanation that went with my first quote of the day didn't make the trip. I don't know why. After reading the comments I have revamped the explanation and am taking another shot at it. Here goes:

1. I want to maximize my soils potential.

2. I want to minimize, and preferably eliminate, soil and nutrient loss.

3. I want to maximize profit.

4. I think living organisms  in my soil, that includes roots and microbials and invertibrates,  as much as possible is the way to achieve those goals.

5. I think the tillage I do and the year around use of herbicides to control weeds reduces those organisms.

6. I think anything I can do to reduce the use of the above mentioned is beneficial as long as it doesn't reduce profit.

7. I am willing to change to meet my first three goals. Doing things as I've always done them doesn't work.

8. How can I get there?

9. Those unwilling to consider change need not reply.

Flame me one more time
