Chillicothe, Missouri | if its behind the reflector, you can get it really close, depending on the brand I suspose, we have Detroit radiant heaters, with highly polished reflectors. and the reflector may get luke warm. Heat reflects like light. out heaters are hanging about 18" off the cealing, just enough to clear the main beams in the shop, our conduit is just attached to the ceiling. if you get them you will love them. I would strongly recomend detroit radiant heaters.
