you might try what i have been using for coons/varmits in my sweet corn patch,golden malarin,its fly bait sprinkle it in a tin pie plate pour in 1/4in of coca-cola to make it sweet and put it where your dog cant get it. the varmit usually never makes it 5-10 ft from their last supper.cats dont seem to bother it but i do know from exp a dog will.
