| 2 1000 gal tanks ...a tank over each set of tires
question....plan calls for a 4x8 beam tied into swivel in middle. in area of 6' long total, but only maybe 3.5' open span length..
......have a neighbor telling me a 1/4 wall 4x4 with 2- 2x4's stacked to create a 4x8 will be as strong or stronger than a 3/8wall 4x8
Local Blacksmith advises me to stay with the 4x8 .......but it will take over a week to get it in.......and not cheap for sure
Another blacksmith has a 4x6 1/2" wall that is a heck of peice of metal....might actually be best choice.......
