| We use laptops quite a bit and travel to a number of places, and at one time we could get heated laptop cases to keep the LCD from freezing. Perhaps things have improved over the years, but I don't think I would chance it by leaving an expensive LCD in the cold. Other LCD devices left in the cold are usually pretty slow to operate until they warm up a little. I don't recall permanent damage, but then that was only when they were in the cold for a few hours. No idea what would happen if left for a few weeks. You might be better off getting a smaller flat panel and taking it back and forth from the hunting shack. | |
