The Internet | Not sure about elsewhere, but Agco are saying (in the UK at least) something like, no combine will be more than 3 hours away from a major part (not sure what that is) and if any machine is stood for over a day or a day and a half they will compensate the farmer. They have a bit of a mountain to climb here, so it looks like they're trying to pull out all of the stops. I don't know what the combine sales figures are, but suspect Claas are No.1 by miles, possibly with getting on for half of all combines sold coming from them. They have a harvest back up that's second to none, so for anyone wanting to make the switch from a known quality product to a new, unproven machine will take some encouragement. Agco have also had "a few issues" with engines, and it seems there is a 10,000 hour engine warranty available, certainly on the new Fendt/Challenger tracked tractor. |
