South Georgia | The yield monitor on my 9996 cotton picker isn't recognizing any GPS positions this year. I didn't have time to fool with it during harvest, but I'm trying to get everything gone over and seen about before I put it up for the year.
I don't know anything about Deere stuff, everything else I have besides this machine is Trimble. The full screen error message said to check the connections at the GPS receiver, which I did, and I don't see any issues there at that (12 pin?) Deutsch connector.
When I click the menu button, none of the choices that I see mention anything about the GPS receiver. I really thought I remembered an option for GPS settings there, but I can't find it now.
I don't know what model screen or receiver I have, but I'll attach pictures from my phone after posting.
Where do I start troubleshooting? Picker is an early sn 9996 if that matters. It didn't have any of the wiring for the yield monitor from the factory, all this was added.
