Newfane NY | Yes I will stick to my cabbage but I am increasing my corn acres as it is profitible for me to do so. Yes I would too like to have all my land deep-tilled, sorry Ed. W., this fall but when we are harvesting 200 to 215 bpa corn and are only set up for 150 bpa as the county average is 115 bpa, it takes time to get it done.
I grow no apples so I can not compare them but I do feel that each 100 acres of cabbage takes the time of 1000 acres of corn, with a whole lot more headaches.
I do enjoy following what goes on in the Midwest as with New York being at the end of the corn planting ladder, we get alot of left over imputs and some good prices.
