Subject: RE: stine corn

This is our second year growing stine, we are pretty satisfied. Last year split a field dekalb vs stine couldn't tell a difference in yield. Price difference was about 100 a bag. This year I made the mistake of not planting any side by side. My dekalb made 20 bushel better but it was the best land I farm vs stine on the worst. One variety of the stine I planted (9316) was very tall and didn't stand the wind too great. I was able to combine it ok. Yielded about the same as 9210 that stood better. We had 9401 in plot and we're very impressed with it. It is a conventional, good yielder got beat be 3 high dolklar dekalbs by 3 bu or less, a real short corn with great standability. Planning to plant a quite a bit of it next year with early.pay I got it for 125 a bag also can get it with Bt trait for 25 more.
