Northcenteral Iowa | I have been looking at upgrading from our wooden bunks for feeding silage to beef cows in the winter.
I like the mobility of a feeder wagon and it not freezing down to the ground like our bunks do but how much of a job is it to keep a feeder wagon cleaned out in a winter with lots of snow and frozen clumps of silage? I like the durability of the heavy made bottomless bunks and being able to just move the bunk to a clean spot. What seems to work best.
I'm tired of repairing wooden bunks looking for a better way. I feed silage out of a bag with a skid loader. | |
