| I have a Moto G5 that is running android 7.0 on Verizon. I bought this phone and so it is unlocked.
1)You can push on the telephone icon until a drop down comes up. You can elect to block the phone number. That number will never come up again. If you make a mistake blocking a phone number, you can push on the telephone icon and it will ask if you want to unblock the number.
2)If you are using Comodo for your virus checker on the android phone and the phone rings and you dismiss the call, it will ask if you want to block the number. This app is brutal so be careful. This app can show you all the blocked phone numbers so that you can unblock numbers.
#1 is the best but you have to let the phone ring first or the phone number is in your history.
I do not know if earlier versions of android do the same thing. I only found #1 after I upgraded to version 7.0.
