we cultivate most of our dry beans and our conventional sugarbeets so if we have less than a full planter width we try to plant odd rows so that they match up to even rows. we tried planting the first pass the first year we had autosteer some fields the first pass has a 3 to 5 row curve in it so we thought it would better to plant the straight pass first the make in the odd rows
