Does it continue after you have run some crop through it? In beans, I will sometimes get some vibration from the cylinder after having it shut off for a bit. Have heard it can be dust/residue settling into 1 side of the cylinder and takes a bit of running for it to work it's way out and vibe goes away. Don't know that I would describe it as a thumping, but maybe?
