southern MN | Dji has a large market share, but they are not the friendliest customer service. Because of market share they are supported by Drone Deply and other third party.
Phantom 4 is pretty much the universal drone. The have three versions, the cheapest may have a weak controller that doesn't get you far; the most expensive comes with its own view screen and controller so you can't easily add third party stuff. That leaves the middle version of the 4, and you need to have a fairly modern tablet android or Apple.
The smaller dji drones are more hobby, and may not do everything or be as supported by the third party.
The Inspire 2 is a more pro drone, and may be above your budget.
Other companies make some ok drones, I'm not familiar with them so can't say. They may have less third party support I would watch for that if running drone deploy or something else appeals to you in the future.
