East Central Arkansas

Yes we have problems with the deer and that is one of the reasons I had quit doing any the last few years. The thing that has really caused a lot of problem with the deer for us the last few years is the spring flooding in our area that push so many deer in around our fields. They have their little ones around the fields and tend to stay around feeding on beans even after the water goes down. There is so many people around with food plots and feeding deer piles of corn I don't know exactly how much problem the cover crop fields cause for us. One thing I know we have way to many people hunting horns and not meat.  Our area used to be primarily cotton and it didn't attract the deer like other crops nor did they damage it like they do beans. This time of year though the deer seem to move back into the river bottoms where they have plenty of acorns to feed on. About the last week or so of deer season they tend to start moving back on us.
