Subject: How common is loosing a GPS Signal?

SWSD
I am a fairly new and random user of my SF3/2630 system. This past Saturday while doing some fall spraying I had a very hard time getting and maintaining a GPS signal - kept getting error messages - something like no clear view of sky, lost signal, etc. I ran blind for a few hours doing small spot areas and irregular areas by the creeks that is kinda dictated by conditions and fairly obvious your track without GPS. The signal indicator would be yellow - then red, etc.

Looked over my globe for anything obvious - loose connection, etc., but it was all good.

Later it just started working out of the blue. Is my receiver acting up - or was it the GPS satellite world having problems? I have never had this happen before.
