| Common practice in Ohio. We're more of a bean state than corn. I can make beans pay when corn can't. There are some good sized farmers in my area who don't plant any corn ever, beans and wheat only.
Then there's wet springs. Four in a row for me. I don't know what it's like to plant in April. This year we started planting corn May 15th. Last year it was May 22nd. A few years back it was the first week of June. Crap like that leads to a lot of bean acres. | |
