Subject: RE: Pint sized laptops

Will be getting one very shortly. I was just using one and
think it has many uses. We used one at a restaurant family
supper on the way back from my trip to Oregon. I just put
the SD card from camera into computer and we could look
at pictures at the table. Unit was a Acer with 9" screen and
6 hr battery life, running XP home. With all the features
and price I think it would be great for travel and forget about
the big laptop.
I also just got a Canon XSi with remote control via a computer.
I think the little computer will be a better way to control
camera than buying the Canon remote bulb.
Also plan to connect it up to a GPS and road map program for
travel and field mapping program
One thing I didn't like was the keyboard, but it sure beats a
smart phone. Also would have liked a matt screen for outdoor
use,but that is not available.
