| NDA prevents me from describing the specific AgLeader file contents. But, when you make a decision to go to a binary format, there is a very good chance that you will use data compression techniques to store lon/lat, etc, in a lot less than 8 bytes. Us old farts used to jump through all sorts of hoops to save a few bytes on every record... back when bytes were present. When we worked with AgLeader to develop the .yld file format in 1994, 128kb SRAM cards were common. Finding a 1mb SRAM card for logging GPS data was tough. | |
